Hey MAC!

We will be having our introductory meeting on Tuesday, October 10th, in room 214! Come by to learn more about our plans for the school year, including a student-teacher debate! All are welcome -- NO prior debate experience is needed, whether you are completely new to debate or if you are an advanced debater.
As always, please join our Google Classroom and fill out our member signup form. Let us know what topics you want to debate! These links can be found on our LinkTree.
Hello readers, ranters, and roarers!
The Lyon is working on an article about TTC violence and we'd love your input!
We want to understand how the rise in TTC violence has affected students in terms of routines, behaviours, and emotions. We also want to hear your opinions on the violence and how to combat it - regardless of how much you know about the issue.
To that end, please fill out this short form to help us out!
Form: TTC Violence & Student Impact
If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] or on Discord at tsukEgh#6390
Yours truly,
The Lyon
Jingle Fells and Flounder Rise, we're back with our first issue of the school year! Come by the foyer at lunch on Tuesday or check out our website flounder.news to get the freshest source of truth at our school!
The Open Round of NACLO 2023 will be held on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 from 10am to 1pm at the University of Toronto, and all students will travel to the site as individuals.
As this time will conflict with one of the mornings of first semester exams, Linguistics Club plans to make arrangements with the school to make sure all students writing the competition will not miss their exam. To do this, we'll need to collect information on all students interested to send to the office as soon as possible. Please complete the form below by Tuesday, November 1st @ 11:59pm so we can begin this process.

NOTE: This form is NOT an official registration for the NACLO. If you would like to officially register for the NACLO, you may fill out the form in the following like at any time before the competition date: https://nacloweb.org/register_student.php

“Your english is so good!”

We’ve all experienced small comments aimed our way that intentionally or unintentionally hurt us and make us feel uncomfortable in our skin. These are all examples of something called microaggressions. Microaggressions are instances of indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a marginalized group. Despite what the micro- may have you believe, these incidences can have a huge impact on the mental health and well-being of marginalized populations. Attend our Let’s Talk Now Meeting at lunch this Thursday in room 215 to learn more about these impacts and how they can be minimized! Everyone is welcome!
