Gardening club is having a sale from April 7th until April 11th, 2025 in the school's store before school, at lunch and after school. All proceeds are going towards finishing the back gardens. Thank you all for supporting our club's initiatives.

Gardening Club is having a Spring Sale the week of March 3rd until March 7th, 2025. We will be selling in the school store before school, lunch and after school. All proceeds are going towards more picnic tables in the back. We are hoping everyone will enjoy the gardens and have time to reconnect with nature. Support our Lyons on ice at our hockey buyout on February 27th! Tickets will be $8 and all proceeds will be going to the Right to Play charity.
Show some school spirit and cheer on the hockey team at the semi-finals! After an amazing performance this season, you don't want to miss this game. The game will be held at Herb Carnege Arena at 2:00pm so students will be excused from periods 3 and 4.

Grade 9s and 10s, look no further! On February 19 and 20, we have events planned just you!
With the opportunity to win FANTASTIC prizes, on February 19 will be a scavenger hunt, where you can work with a team to collect photos of Makenzie staples! It will be a race against the clock to solve some tricky riddles.
On February 20, come down to the gym to play and watch some fun games, show some school spirit, and win prizes!

On Monday. it’s decades day and we will be hosting Name That Song in the caf! There will be multiple winners and they will each get a voucher for a free ice cream on carnival day! 👯️🪩🎵
Tuesday is BBQ dads vs soccer moms, a food day in the caf and a dodgeball game in the gym at lunch! 🍗⚽️
Next, Wednesday is school merch/colours (blue, white, gold) day and lip dub during second period! 💙💛🎤
On Thursday it’s grade wars, so gr9 wear orange, gr10 wear green, gr11 wear blue, gr12 wear red/pink, and our extended lunch carnival day takes place (see below for the carnival map)!
Finally, Friday is skaters vs surfers and we will be giving out free freezies in the school store! 🛹🏄🥶

Get excited for the Art Council's Arts and Culture Showcase on May 7th! There will be food tastings from 6:15-7:00pm and the show will be from 7:00-9:00pm.
Auditions for the showcase are April 10-12 in the music and dance rooms.

The FIRST ever Culture Fashion show is also happening during the showcase! If you are interested in being a part of it, please come to the dance studio Thursday, March 28 at lunch for a short meeting.
