Hey Mackenzie!
MEC is proud to be welcoming THREE engineers to talk about their experiences on April 4. Everyone in the school is welcome to attend!

They have degrees ranging from a PhD to a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and work in Pharmaceutical R&D, Manufacturing Process Control, and Environmental Engineering Consulting. Each will be talking about the work they do, a day-in-the-life, and will conduct a Q&A!
Regardless of what field you'd like to pursue, this is a great opportunity to learn about how professionals apply science and engineering in real life and explore several industries!
The event will be after school on April 4 at 3:30pm, either in the cafeteria or several classrooms (TBD). There will be free treats!!

Rocket Launch Event - MEC/MSC Collab

Hey MEC! Do you want to launch something outer this world? Or test your skills in a provincial or national competition? Well, Jupiter sign up for Engineering Club and MSC's Rocket Launch collaboration event! Join us on Wednesday, November 2 and 9 at lunch at 11:55am to build your very own rocket that we'll launch on Tuesday, November 15 after school! Plus, you'll be automatically entered into the_ Ontario-wide Junk Drawer Races competition_!

MEC is back with its second event of the year, this time on Acoustical Engineering! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to build the loudest guitar that can play a simple tune. Prior musical experience is not required!

Executive Applications for MEC are now open for the 2022-2023 school year!
Mackenzie’s Engineering Club will be hosting educational and competitive events for members throughout the 2022-2023 school year. Held bi-weekly, the objective of every event is to provide an insight into engineering and the application of scientific concepts in a fun, hands-on, and competitive matter. All MEC executives are expected to display key traits such as organization, responsibility, time management, reliability, initiative, and most importantly, creativity and leadership.
