Start marking your calendars because LyonHacks II will be returning this year as Mackenzie’s 2nd hackathon!
LyonHacks II will start on April 15th @ noon and will end on April 17th @ noon — for a total of 48 hours.
Now you may be wondering, what is a hackathon?
A hackathon is a programming competition that challenges teams to design and pitch a software application to our panel of judges. During LyonHacks II, teams will create a code-based project that falls under one of the given themes. The hackathon will also feature workshops, fun activities and guest speakers to help people of all skill levels. Don’t worry if the competition aspect may feel intimidating, as hackathons are seen as a place to learn, collaborate and express creativity!
All Ontario middle and high school students ages 13-18 are invited to compete, in teams of up to 4. Top teams will receive prizes from a cash pool of $250, generously sponsored by ECOO.
