School's back open for business!
Sure, we got off to a rocky start with the colossal amount of snow on Monday, but the first day of in-person learning since the winter break was on Wednesday.

This week, Monday was converted to online learning and Tuesday was a rare school snow day.
Wednesday, January 19th was a late start day in person. Be sure to check for future late start days as we progress into the second semester.
As of December 17th, 2021, semester 1 marks cannot drop anymore. Hopefully, that eases the stress that some people have about grades.

February 3rd marks the beginning of the second semester!

Some other things that happened this week:
- Clubs have resumed regular operation as of Saturday January 15th. However, all clubs should switch to a virtual format for now.
- the Mackenzie Zoom Study Session took place on Thursday January 20th. Be sure to follow Wellness At MAC for more events like these here.

Some things to look forward to next week:
- Credit Recovery days are on Thursday January 27th, Friday January 28th, and Tuesday Februrary 1st. Virtual attendance must be completed.
- Wednesday February 2nd is a PA day, so have a restful day in preparation for your second semester courses.
- Course selection presentations will take place on Monday January 31st. The following is the schedule for the course selection presentations:

Grade 9 Course Selection Virtual Assembly: January 31st from 9:15AM to 10:00AM
Grade 10 Course Selection Virtual Assembly: January 31st from 12:30PM to 1:30PM
