Hey.
We have something very important to discuss with you.
If you haven’t noticed, we’ve grown. Emotionally and individually, of course, but we mean Metropolis. The site. The app. The team.
Why does this matter?
This matters because there wasn’t any one person who coded, or wrote, or even started with the idea. It was the effort of everyone.
This matters because every initiative, from monthly playlists to video games, started from a different, unique person.
This matters because your every complaint about the website turns into another cup of coffee, another hour of coding, and another step towards making the website better.
This matters because we’re just Mackenzie students, and we only want Mackenzie students to keep our community thriving.
This matters because every team meeting starts with the Apocalypse, followed by a cacophony of voices, and ending in soft guitar strums or bright J-pop belting.
This matters because we congratulate each other for every accomplishment, and console for every failure.
The Mac Lyons’ Den is made of passion projects, refined, revised, replanted. Updates in school and sports, logs of coding and callings—we are more than one faceless entity. Much, much more.
So don’t spell it as Lyon’s or Lyons or Lions. It’s Mac Lyons’ Den.
Sincerely,
Project Metropolis
