Greek Heritage Month Announcement #14- ‘Theatrical’ Thursday, March 26th, 2026 The Ancient Greeks were the first to create theater and even invented special stage machines! One of their coolest inventions was the "deus ex machina," a crane-like device that lowered actors onto the stage, usually when they were playing gods. This made for exciting and dramatic entrances! Playwrights used this trick to help solve tricky story problems, and it has influenced storytelling even to this day.
