Yesterday, January 29 marked the National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and Action Against Islamophobia. On January 29, 2017, six Muslim men were murdered and many others injured when a gunman entered a Mosque in Quebec after evening prayers and shattered their sense of safety and sanctity. On this day, we remember and honour the lives lost. It is a collective commitment to confront Islamophobia, reject hate, and stand with Muslim communities across Ontario, working together to build a province rooted in safety, dignity, and respect for all.
